Technical Principles and Manufacturing Processes of the PS Panel
The technical principles and manufacturing processes: The production of PS sheets primarily relies on the extrusion molding process. In this process, polystyrene resin particles are heated to a molten state and then extruded through a single-screw extruder. The length-to-diameter ratio of the screw is typically designed to optimize material mixing and extrusion efficiency, such as a ratio of 35. The extruder’s capacity, as indicated by a specification like 450, determines the amount of material that can be processed per unit time. The production speed, for example 400 kg/h, reflects the efficiency of the production line. Moreover, by adjusting the type of mold and the design of the die head, sheets of various widths (such as 1200 mm) and thicknesses (ranging from 1 mm to 10 mm) can be produced. It is also possible to manufacture multi-layer sheets to meet different application requirements.
Industry Standards and Quality Control
The production of PS sheets must comply with strict industry standards, which include the selection of raw materials, control over the production process, and testing of the final products. For instance, the precision requirements regarding sheet thickness and width, as well as the control of surface flatness and gloss, are all crucial factors in ensuring product quality. In addition, increasing environmental standards have prompted manufacturers to use more environmentally friendly materials and production processes in order to reduce the emission of harmful substances.
